peer to peer networking

I was wondering what peer-to-peer systems were out there and I was
surprised that Syncthing can work with systems that are behind NAT
firewalls in a peer-to-peer-like fashion.

(I thought that my systems would not be able to connect to a peer-to-peer
network because of my strange home network layout, but I downloaded
Freenet and it works perfectly.)
