It's possible that the roof problem has been a combination of things:

 1. There was a problem with the roof when we moved in, and, when we had
    the silicon roof resurfaced just before we moved in, that exacerbated
    the problem.
 2. When Bill Hamilton Roofing re-did the tile roof, they never fixed the
    underlying issue with the ceramic tile ridge letting water through and
    all repairs since then never addressed this root cause.

However, given the long time that we've been experiencing this ceiling
leak, I'm holding off declaring victory in any form.
