I believe that people feel compelled to contribute and create regardless
of what resources (pay, etc.) are given to them. The security of a safety
net can empower productivity. When basic needs like food, housing, and
healthcare are guaranteed, people tend to pursue education, creative
endeavors, and meaningful work rather than being forced into dead-end jobs
simply to survive. In this country, working is a social norm and a form
of dignity, and most people don't want to be a burden on society.
