OK.  I'll mail it tomorrow.  Place it on my pillow so I don't forget
[again].

I just called the Santa Clara Tax Collector Exemptions Department.  Two
things I discovered:

 1) We will not get a homeowners tax exemption no-how for 2010.  So, we
    owe the full amount.
 2) We'll get the homeowners tax exemption in 2011, but our place will be
    re-assessed.  The guy I talked with says that it's likely that we'll
    be assessed at a higher value.

So, it's hard to say, between the homeowners exemption and the higher
assessment value, whether our property taxes will ultimately go up or
down in 2011.  We'll see.
